Once a year, companies give [shareholders] a chance to ask questions and make requests to the Board at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Shareholders submit proposals ahead of the AGM. These suggest new ways the company should be run, and often cover matters important to shareholders.
For example, a question could be: 'Should Company X publicly release its climate change targets?'
The shareholder(s) who submitted the question will summarise why they are In favour of the company making the proposed change. The company's Board will then respond, explaining why it is either In favour or Against the change. You can see both summaries in the 'Open Votes' section of your platform.
All shareholders can vote In favour or Against these questions ahead of or at the AGM.
