When we talk about equities on the Tumelo platform we're referring to your money that's been invested in a company through [shares]. These shares are traded on the stock market and usually provide the [shareholder] with voting rights at the company's [Annual General Meetings (AGM)].
Your [fund manager] legally owns the company shares that your money is invested in - which means they are the ones who can vote at the AGMs. But because they're using your money to buy these shares, we think you should have a say in how they vote - that's why we built Tumelo!
Through your platform, you can tell your fund manager how you think they should vote on key issues. Head to 'Open votes' in the 'Voting' section and get involved!
